Pop Up Art Call-Out
Activating Zionsville's Byways through Pop-up Art
The Zionsville Cultural District is soliciting input from local artists to provide original artwork that will be printed on weather resistant vinyl in a size large enough to easily attract attention and serve as a fun place for residents and visitors to use as a backdrop for pictures, selfies and the like. Artists' submissions may also call for inclusion of 3-D items to enhance the effect of the artwork. Artwork must be submitted to the Zionsville Cultural District no later than May 1, 2022. A maximum of 3 submissions per artist, in 72 dpi (jpeg preferred), will be accepted. Submissions should be sent to info@zvillecd.org
The selected artwork will be completed and displayed this summer and reflect high standards of aesthetic and technical merit. Artwork should include no political, religious or offensive content. A Community Artist Review Panel will evaluate and rank submissions.
The winning selection will require a 300 dpi or higher digital file for mural-size printing. The winning artist will receive $500.00 as a licensing fee for the use of their image. There is additional funding for printing, framing and accompanying props. The theme for submissions is open but should reflect content that makes it fun and attractive to a wide range of observers. Artists, please include a bio-background with submission.
This project is funded by a grant from the Town of Zionsville Community Enrichment Program.
